WHAT PERCENTAGE OF MEMBER PLEDGES GO TO THE ATHLETES?
Between 80-90%. The amount varies depending on the overhead and expenses of a given month. These expenses include costs related to IT, marketing materials, content creation (photography and videography), and fan engagement experiences. Gator Collective may incur additional costs in a month with an in-person event than in other months. The goal has always been, and will continue to be, to get the most lucrative NIL deals to the athletes.
Gator Collective ownership does not receive any financial benefit from any revenue generated from Gator Collective memberships.
WHY ARE THE MESSAGE BOARDS AN EXTRA FEE?
Your GC membership dollars go almost entirely to Gator Athletes (see question above), as that is the purpose of Gator Collective. The interviews, discussion threads, connecting with other members, early access to 84 reasons, early and discounted access to Gator Collective events, and more are all included in the normal membership community.
The Message Boards have an additional cost for the software they are on and for the time to create content and moderate them, so they are an upgraded cost to avoid using money that should go to the athletes to operate them, as that would go against the purpose of the collective.
ARE ALL CONTRACTS THE SAME? IS THE MONEY DIVIDED UP EQUALLY?
No. The contracts vary based on the specific athlete and the requirements of the athlete under the contract. For example, an athlete who appears in person at a fan engagement event may earn more compensation than an athlete who posts on social media. Additionally, higher profile athletes may receive more compensation than lesser-known athletes. Each deal is individually negotiated and agreed upon by the athletes and Gator Collective.
IS GATOR COLLECTIVE A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION? ARE MY CONTRIBUTIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Based on the advice of tax and legal professionals, Gator Collective is structured as a limited liability corporation. However, some business contributions may be tax deductible as business marketing expenses. We encourage you to consult with appropriate tax professionals to determine whether there may be tax benefits for you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF AN ATHLETE TRANSFERS OR OTHERWISE LEAVES THE PROGRAM?
Gator Collective agreements are limited in time and scope to provide protection for member funds in the situation where an athlete may transfer or no longer participates in the athletic program. The agreements can’t be canceled, but Gator Collective specifically structures the agreements to minimize these risks.
ARE THE CONTRACTS EXCLUSIVE WITH GATOR COLLECTIVE?
No. The contracts are intentionally nonexclusive. We want the athletes to have the opportunity to do the most they can in this new NIL world. In fact, we promote their deals with other groups and businesses on our social media.

WHAT'S THE STATUS OF MY MERCHANDISE?
Please note that most orders are fulfilled by third-party vendors and take 14-20 days to fulfill and ship. Some orders may arrive in two different packages and have different tracking numbers due to being fulfilled at different warehouses/vendors.
IS GATOR COLLECTIVE AFFILIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA?
While Gator Collective exists exclusively for the benefit of Gator athletes and fans, it is not affiliated with the University of Florida. It is a third party created to work with Gator athletes.
ARE YOU ABLE TO SIGN RECRUITS TO NIL DEALS?
No. NIL law prohibits compensation paid to athletes to encourage attendance at a particular institution. Gator Collective welcomes the opportunity to work with the athletes once they are enrolled.
